Osinbajo Takes Over As Acting-President Of Nigeria As Buhari Begins Vacation!

Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has stepped into the saddle as Acting-President as President Muhammadu Buhari begins a short vacation.

The vacation starts from today, February 5 to February 10, 2016.

According to a statement by Femi Adesina, special adviser on media and publicity to the president, Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president, will perform the functions of the president while Buhari’s vacations lasts.

In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution, President Buhari has dispatched a formal notice of his vacation to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Meanwhile, some days ago Sahara Reporters had reported that the President will be seeing his medical doctors in London for undisclosed medical check-ups.
